A yummy Pomegrante Salad recipe


This week in the store we are featuring cookbooks by Betty Mitchell.  Such a wonderful thing to have on hand for the Holidays ahead.  Full of wonderful recipes for entertaining, parties & dinners with the family.

Here is a yummy Pomegrante Salad recipe from her 2nd Edition Cookbook {$13.99} that is on sale at Whisperwood & Co. 

Pomegrante Salad 

1 large pkg. raspberry jello                                      1 C. hot water 
-Stir to dissolve 

-Add: 
2 C. frozen strawberries or raspberries                  2 pomegranates 
2 C. diced apples                                                         3 sliced bananas 
1 small can crushed pineapple, drained 

-Mix together and put half in a 13x9 inch dish and put in refrigerator to set. Leave other half on the counter. 
-Mix 2 C. sour cream, 4 ounces cream cheese, and 1 small container of Cool Whip.  Mix together and spread over the set jello, then add the other jello on top. Put back into refrigerator and let set up overnight for best flavor. 
*Note: This is a recipe from St. George where pomegranates are very plentiful.  It is unusual but very, very good.
